The Production Pipeline

	The Hall Of Shadows is a visual effects and animation company created and run by Ryan Carter. After spending more than six years in the Hollywood studio system, Ryan made the move to go solo in an effort to service clients with smaller projects that wouldn't have the budgets for large studio production, thereby allowing them more direct interaction and control at substantially lower cost. Clients include entities such as film studios, television production companies, advertisers, and industrilal groups. The Hall Of Shadows provides services that include 3D modeling, animation, compositing, motion tracking, and rotoscoping. Though most of the work is handled directly by Ryan, his connections within the industry allow him to bring on other artists and/or studios as needed so that the pipeline can be scaled to match each individual project's time and budget requirements. Whether it's a title sequence for a mini-dv short or visual effects for a 2K stereoscopic feature film, the Hall Of Shadows can scale the workflow to fit each client's specific needs.
The Hall Of Shadows render pipeline is fully uncompressed, so footage comes out as clean as it goes in. Virtually any format from DV to RED footage is accepted and the final deliveries can be shipped in a variety of 8-bit or 10-bit video formats. We currently operate a 52 node 64-bit render farm - allowing us to accomodate larger projects - and we offer FTP server accounts should any client wish to digitally transfer the content via the internet. A test directory is also established for each production, allowing the client to review the work as it progresses and make revisions prior to delivery. Additional render or web resources can be brought online quickly should the need arise. Having worked on James Cameron's stereoscopic IMAX documentary "Aliens of the Deep", Ryan is also able to provide animation and visual effects in Stereo 3D. Both parallel and convergence (toe-in) camera rigs can be accomodated and the final product is delivered as separate LEFT and RIGHT movie files, allowing it to be mastered in a variety of 3D distribution formats.
